breaking the silence

Good thing our lecture this afternoon ended early, i immediately checked this blog to refresh myself with interesting updates with my batchmates. But, kapung - aw palan didi niyan. Sige lugod, ako an matabil :

My normal day starts at 6am. During the first week of November, i usually jog around ateneo campus or paly badminton. But with the hectic sked we have now, i can only play badminton on weekends. a ford muslim -cohort is teaching me the rudiments of the game. He plays good, he practices with the wall as his imaginary opponent, batal man. Its difficult to jog around ateneo during class days, traffic starts early (its like a parade of latest car models), mapagal na basi maligis baya.

The Rizal Library is a showcase of latest technology with their electronic catalog system, with free internet services. Our dorm is quite sosyal, aircon, marble tiles ang toilet. I wash my own clothes, mahal magpalaba didi, P38 an kilo. Mas mahal an pagkaon. Kulang an sanggatos kada meal kun mahablo ka talaga. (P25 an kadiyot na ginisa na kangkong, chef!).

Were now on the hardest part of the training : thesis proposal Writing. yes, they are making sure that before we go to our universities, our thesis will surely earn high marks. Matindi an panel, puro doctorate, dean sa UP, Ateneo, and top brass of different agencies. Some are book authors. Di na maaser an pa cute. We are required to defend our thesis. Reminiscent of Jepoy's oral comprehensive exam, maybe even merciless. Im training myself to read books daily, i sleep past midnight.

We seldom go out of ateneo to save our allowance. Kauuyam sa ateneo, bihira an public transport, mapipiritan ka magtaxi.

But were enjoying our stay, we break the pressure by singing songs, watching panday, Pinoy big brother and of course... by sleeping.

Need to sign out now, tapos na free time ko to chat.

till next blog

in his own words

sharing with you ojee's first email, unedited and uncensored, kasi ojee na ojee siya. utok-utok pa ako, i'm sure kamo man. henjoy! :)

hi there, you know.....its like this....you know what i mean????

hehehe pwede na ba? gravah....joshkohlard...grabe an biyahe mi kaawat nagpurolot an bunay ko. hehehehe, ok lets start from d departure. mixed feelings ang darama ng lola moh paglaog ko sa boarding area, bagan kamundo na grabe an anxiety. but anyway nakahali kami 12:30 am tapos nag abot kami sa korea na almost 5 am. sa lounge san airport lang kami nagturog pero kagayon man. bagan long sofa na pwede ka mag unat, tapos may dakodako na plasma tv at may internet lounge na free. pwede na didto mag istar, hehehe. sarado pa ugang an mga shops pero pagmata ko na ten am burukas na, puno nan sin tsekwa... di lamang ako nainip sa korea while waiting. you've got lots to do. nag-udo pa ngani ako. hehehe at least makasabi an udo ko sin "ojee was here!!!!"

so fly na naman kami na 12 noon to usa. dyosko kalokah 2 hours pa lng kami naglalayog gabi na....tapos puro na gabi...nagliwanag, over seattle na an plane mi..super jet lag ngani ako kay grabe an turbulence san pahali palang and paabot na sa us. but over the pacific ocean ka kalmado san fly pero d ka pa rin mangaturog kay cge lang an karaon. we arrived at the airport at around 9 am, atab sin 30 min. kaya lang d mi aram kun yadto si dennis, kaya kulbaan ako...

we passed swiftly without problem through the immigration. d nila sinita an possible terrorist. wara pa kaya burongot... so there pagluwas mi sa airport may kumakaway na tsekwa all smiles and excited para bagang cinasabing "at last here comes my boy toy," bwahahaha...

but mind you di siya nag work that day para lang mafetch kami...iba talaga ang batch ta..ka at home mi didi sa place nya....ganda ng place nya para kaming nasa bel-air baguio. malaki ang pad ni dennis e...kumpleto.. tamo may internet pa so pag abot mi.... super ganda pala ng chicago. di congested unlike manila. grabe talaga difference. ride kami sa car niya na toyota rav 4 na four doors. uwi sa bahay refresh tapos kain kami sa asian resto nanakakabigla ang pagkain...nag order tigsararo na dish thinking na gud for 1 as it appears on d picture. abay nung iserve na, pang sampulo katawo palan an serving so hanggang ngayon may ulam pa kami. pero mura man gud. $6-$7 lang an price that dami. pati drinks ninda bagan pitsel an laogan. lumos baga ako mag-ubos...alangan man ipabalot ko pa...

so our first day in chicago was great. dami na naming nagawa wala pang tulog yun..nakapasyal na, nakafile na si minet ng ss number. sinamahan kami lahat ni paolo (dennis) sa lahat na dapat naming asikasuhin. in fairness ganda ng accomadation nya sa amin. swerte nga daw namin, ganda kze ng weather ngaun pagdating namin sunny, na malamig. para ka lang nasa colder baguio pero may araw...ngaun lang daw nangyari na november na ganda pa rin ng weather. tapos ganda ng tanawin d2, fall kze, you'll love the color of the surroundings especially the changing colors of the trees and flowers.

its our second day now.'ganda pa rin ng weather. paolo is at work so kami lang natira d2 sa bahay nya na pagkaganda. daming libangan and easy ang house works, lahat automatic. he gave us our own keys para in case lumabas kmi ng bahay atmaglibotlibot. ganda kze ng panahon.we'll take a walk downtown. ganda ng area nya here in evanston. so peaceful. the city proper is 15 minutes away.

pano, maglalaba na muna ako sa hightech na washing machine. d kze mababasa ang kamay ko pero makakalaba. o di ba chuchal!

e mail agad ha...
