breaking the silence

Good thing our lecture this afternoon ended early, i immediately checked this blog to refresh myself with interesting updates with my batchmates. But, kapung - aw palan didi niyan. Sige lugod, ako an matabil :

My normal day starts at 6am. During the first week of November, i usually jog around ateneo campus or paly badminton. But with the hectic sked we have now, i can only play badminton on weekends. a ford muslim -cohort is teaching me the rudiments of the game. He plays good, he practices with the wall as his imaginary opponent, batal man. Its difficult to jog around ateneo during class days, traffic starts early (its like a parade of latest car models), mapagal na basi maligis baya.

The Rizal Library is a showcase of latest technology with their electronic catalog system, with free internet services. Our dorm is quite sosyal, aircon, marble tiles ang toilet. I wash my own clothes, mahal magpalaba didi, P38 an kilo. Mas mahal an pagkaon. Kulang an sanggatos kada meal kun mahablo ka talaga. (P25 an kadiyot na ginisa na kangkong, chef!).

Were now on the hardest part of the training : thesis proposal Writing. yes, they are making sure that before we go to our universities, our thesis will surely earn high marks. Matindi an panel, puro doctorate, dean sa UP, Ateneo, and top brass of different agencies. Some are book authors. Di na maaser an pa cute. We are required to defend our thesis. Reminiscent of Jepoy's oral comprehensive exam, maybe even merciless. Im training myself to read books daily, i sleep past midnight.

We seldom go out of ateneo to save our allowance. Kauuyam sa ateneo, bihira an public transport, mapipiritan ka magtaxi.

But were enjoying our stay, we break the pressure by singing songs, watching panday, Pinoy big brother and of course... by sleeping.

Need to sign out now, tapos na free time ko to chat.

till next blog

hi totep,

nakwento kita sa mga officemates ko and friends. some of whom went through the same ford program you are now. one thing they said is that the ateneo part (the one you're in right now) is the hardest part, with your schooling abroad the easiest. sisiw lang daw. and of course with your OLPS background hehehe, hamamani talaga ina. so padi, bring back the glory ha.

and while abroad wag kang magkulong s school, magpasyar ka tsaka for extra money, mag sideline ka daw like babysitting, storeminding, etc.

dont forget to blog din hehehehe

jetski,

thanks for your very assuring and comforting message. I'm really dead serious with the training so that i'll be fully "armed when i leave the country next year, making sure that my thesis is already "half" finished para bwelo sa pag tour. Hehe. We're very lucky to meet and interact with the best academicians of our country, infact, listening to their 3-hr lecture is like gaining 3 units in their subject matter. We're just jittery in taking the GRE, i'll be taking it on January 2006. I learned igwa nin math, lintian, kapatal ko baga sa math. The word analogy part is also challenging, i took practice test, i got 8 right answers out of 10. Im quite confident with TOEFL. I'll take it on Dec. 5, this year. Wish me luck !

Give my regards to your ford alumni colleagues. Im happy to meet them!
